Ink in the Alley
Ink in the Alley returns to downtown Hattiesburg for its third year on Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., bringing a full day of tattoo artistry, local art, entertainment and family-friendly fun to the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum and Historic Saenger Theater. Guests can watch tattoo artists work live on the Saenger stage, shop local art and handmade goods, enjoy food and specialty drinks, and take part in unique activities throughout the day. Whether you’re looking to get some new ink or simply want to experience the atmosphere, Ink in the Alley offers something for everyone. Admission is free and open to the public.

- Live Tattooing: 10 tattoo artists offering walk-up flash tattoos on the Saenger stage.

Fear Circus
Get ready for a night of horror, thrills and high-flying madness when Fear Circus takes over the Historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater on Sunday, September 20 at 8 p.m.
This isn’t your typical circus. Twisted clowns will prowl the aisles, aerialists and contortionists will perform in near darkness, and immersive nightmare scenes will bring the action up close. With intense sound, strobe and haze effects, extended darkness, simulated violence and even the roar of a chainsaw, Fear Circus is designed to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There’s no fourth wall. No safe distance. And nowhere to look away.

Saenger Education Series: Artrageous
The Historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater is kicking off the 2026–2027 Saenger Education Series with Artrageous ArtReach on Thursday, October 1!
Artrageous brings together visual art, music, theater, singing, dancing and audience interaction for an unforgettable, high-energy experience designed to inspire creativity in students.
Students will watch artists create artwork before their eyes while experiencing live music, dynamic performances and plenty of opportunities to get involved! Performances are at 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM. The show is FREE for area schools, but reservations are required!
Space is limited, so schools are encouraged to reserve their preferred performance time soon.

The Hocus Pocus Experience
Our annual Hocus Pocus Experience returns on Friday, October 2 for an unforgettable evening of Halloween fun the whole family will love!
The magic begins with our Block Party at 5:30 p.m., where the theater transforms into a spooky celebration before the movie. Zach Williams’ Revival Nights Tour is set to bring a powerful, gritty energy to audiences again this fall, hitting 21 cities across the country. Known for his signature blend of country, rock, and gospel, Williams will headline a run of shows designed to feel both personal and impactful, taking place in theatres and performing arts centers nationwide.
Fans can expect a night rooted in authenticity and connection, with Zach Williams delivering the soul and conviction behind songs like “Chain Breaker,” “There was Jesus,” “Old Church Choir,” and “Rescue Story.” Joining the tour, Cochren & Co. will bring a driving sound and fan favorites including “Church (Take Me Back),” “One Day,” and “Running Home,” while singer/songwriter Christian Hohn opens the night with new music that reflects his story of faith, fitting seamlessly into the tour’s themes of everyday life, struggle, and redemption.

Hattiesburg Music Showcase
The inaugural Hattiesburg Music Showcase will take place Friday, November 20, 2026, and will bring four Hattiesburg-area acts together for one night celebrating the city’s incredible local music scene.
The inaugural lineup includes:
6:30 p.m. – Drew Young Band
7:30 p.m. – Jacob Arnold & The Bird Dogs
8:30 p.m. – Grits & Greens
9:30 p.m. – Blue Mountain
The event was created to give local musicians a premier opportunity to perform on the historic Saenger stage while celebrating Hattiesburg’s long history of producing exceptional music. Hundreds of community nominations were submitted during the nomination process, highlighting the depth and diversity of talent throughout the area.
Drew Young Band will open the evening with a blend of Americana, country, folk and rock & roll. Hattiesburg songwriter Drew Young has more than 90 published songs and more than six million worldwide streams.
Jacob Arnold & The Bird Dogs, formed in Hattiesburg in 2020, combine Old School Country, Rock 'N' Roll and Red Dirt Country influences. The band released its full-length album Empty Bottles in 2022.
Grits & Greens bring their unique “psychedelic y’alternative” sound to the showcase, blending Southern rock, progressive rock, punk, soul and funk. The Hattiesburg band recently recorded new music at the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Closing the evening will be Blue Mountain, led by Hattiesburg’s own Cary Hudson and Laurie Stirratt. Originally formed in 1993, the influential roots-rock band helped establish Mississippi as a major force in the alternative-country and roots-rock movement. The band is reuniting especially for the inaugural showcase.
Tickets are $25, $35 and $45, plus applicable taxes and fees.
